Over the past four weeks, I had the privilege of delivering a comprehensive IT Service Management (ITSM) Admin training course for a leading financial institution customer. This journey has been immensely rewarding, both professionally and personally, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the experience, share some insights, and highlight the positive feedback from our participants.Â
A Journey of Growth and LearningÂ
Facilitating this training was more than just a job; it was a learning experience that contributed to my growth as an individual and a professional. The course was meticulously designed to offer a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, making it engaging and enriching for all involved. Over the four weeks, I found myself not only teaching but also learning—from the dynamic interactions with participants to the real-time problem-solving that came up during sessions.Â
One of the standout features of the training was its interactive nature. Rather than sticking to a purely lecture-based approach, the course was structured around interactive exercises and hands-on assistance. This method proved to be highly effective, allowing participants to apply what they learned immediately and see tangible results. The feedback I received indicated that customers appreciated this practical approach. It wasn’t just about understanding ITSM concepts but also about being able to implement them confidently in real-world scenarios.Â
Weekly Exercises: A Hands-On ApproachÂ
Each week, participants were given exercises designed to reinforce the material covered and challenge them to think critically about their use of ITSM tools. These exercises were crafted to mimic real-life scenarios, which made them highly relevant and practical. The positive feedback on these exercises was overwhelmingly positive; customers felt that these activities were crucial for solidifying their understanding and gaining hands-on experience with ITSM Neurons admin tasks.Â
From a personal standpoint, this training experience pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop new skills. Leading interactive sessions required me to adapt my teaching methods on the fly, address diverse questions, and find new ways to make complex topics more accessible. This not only enhanced my ability to communicate effectively but also improved my problem-solving skills as I navigated various challenges that arose during the training.Â
Positive Customer FeedbackÂ
The response from this major South African bank customer was extremely encouraging. Many participants highlighted the value of the hands-on approach and how it made the learning process more enjoyable and effective. The interactive format was particularly well-received, with many noting that it kept them engaged and provided practical knowledge that they could immediately apply in their roles. Participants expressed their appreciation for the level of support and guidance provided throughout the course, and several mentioned that they would recommend this training to others seeking practical experience with ITSM Neurons admin tasks.Â
A Step Forward in ITSM TrainingÂ
This training session has reinforced the importance of blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience. As ITSM continues to evolve, offering interactive and hands-on training is crucial for helping professionals stay ahead in a rapidly changing field. This course has not only equipped our customers with valuable skills but has also set a new standard for how we approach ITSM training in the future.Â
In conclusion, the past four weeks have been a fulfilling and transformative experience. The positive feedback from our customers and the personal growth I’ve experienced affirm the effectiveness of our training approach. I look forward to continuing to innovate and improve our training programmes to provide even more value to our clients. If you’re considering ITSM training, I highly recommend a hands-on, interactive approach – it makes all the difference.Â

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this experience so rewarding.
Here’s to many more successful training sessions and continued growth in the world of ITSM!Â
